How dollar-cost averaging bitcoin works
Bitcoinโs price moves every day. DCA buys a fixed dollar amount on a schedule so you accumulate BTC at different prices instead of timing one entry.
CoinOperated automates that from Arc USDC through LI.FI, with coins delivered to a wallet you control. You can set hourly, twice-daily, daily, weekly, biweekly, or monthly schedules in the app.
Daily vs weekly vs monthly for bitcoin
With the same total budget, more frequent buys usually land near the same long-run outcome because this chart uses one daily price per day.
| Cadence | Buys | Invested | Coins | Value | ROI | Avg cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Once a day | 296 | $2,960.00 | 0.04046119 | $3,304.03 | +11.6% | $73,156.53 |
| Every week | 43 | $2,960.00 | 0.04034336 | $3,294.41 | +11.3% | $73,370.18 |
| Every 2 weeks | 22 | $2,960.00 | 0.04001478 | $3,267.58 | +10.4% | $73,972.67 |
| Every month | 10 | $2,960.00 | 0.04030557 | $3,291.32 | +11.2% | $73,438.97 |
Methodology & data
Each simulated buy uses Bitcoin's USD price from the latest stored Chainlink round at or before that instant. Coins bought = amount ร (1 โ 0.5%) รท price. Current value = coins ร latest price. Average cost = total invested รท coins. Lump sum deploys the same total invested at the first scheduled price. The 0.5% fee models LI.FI and CoinOperated percentage fees only; gas and bridge costs are not included.

Is this calculator free, and do I need an account?
Yes. It is free, and you do not need an account or a wallet to run a backtest.
Are these real returns?
No. Results are hypothetical, based on stored Chainlink rounds and a fixed 0.5% fee assumption per buy. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
Where does the price data come from?
CoinOperated stores Chainlink USD rounds in its database. Each simulated buy uses the latest round at or before that time. The methodology section explains the fee.
Does buying weekly beat buying daily?
Over long periods the totals are usually close when you keep the same overall budget. More frequent buys smooth your average entry price, but neither schedule is guaranteed to do better.
Can I run this schedule automatically?
Yes. CoinOperated runs recurring BTC, ETH, or PAXG buys from your non-custodial passkey 1Shot wallet, even while you are offline, starting at $5 per period. Onboarding into USDC on Arc has 0 fees, and swaps are routed via LI.FI.
Who holds the coins?
You do. Coins go to your 1Shot wallet or to an external wallet you choose.
Results are hypothetical and for illustration only. Past performance does not guarantee future results. This is not financial advice. Actual purchases may differ due to prices at execution, network fees, swap slippage, and routing.
